The WMCC (Wellington Masters Cycling Club), formerly WVCC (Wellington Veterans Cycling Club) and often known as the "VETS", was formed in September 1983 by a group of ex racing cyclists who wanted to continue in active competition and to also promote the recreational and social side of the sport. The Club was the first New Zealand veterans cycling club, initially specialising in time trial events.

The original name of the Club was the Veterans' Road Time Trial Association (VRTTA) but the name was changed when road races were introduced into the annual programme.

WMCC is affiliated to Cycling NZ, NZ's Cycling governing body.

Club members help with marshal duties at 2 events during the season, allowing us the freedom and peace of mind to ride and race safely!

Weekly Club Newsletter.  We publish a weekly newsletter that keeps all racers up to date with previous and upcoming events and other club racing information. This goes out to current and past members and to non-members who've raced with us.

Facebook Group. We have an active and engaged group on facebook, along with a public facing page. We use the group to share event photos, post & share events, update changes/cancellations, and engage with our wider community.

Facebook Page. This is where we set up events that can be shared on social media. If you "like" the page, you'll be notified when new posts are made to the site.

Strava. We also have a Wellington Masters club on Strava  - it's a great way to keep track of your competition during race season!

Zwift. We now have a Wellington Masters club on zwift. Just working out how we can run some virtual events over Winter.
