Race Registration (Saturday)
Opens 8.00am on Saturday 21 January at the venue, for riders to collect their race pack. Competitors must sign on at registration before moving to the Prologue TT start line. There will be someone at the hall all morning.
All competitors will be provided with one timing tag & race number to be used throughout the tour. In the event of a chip failure we can swap it for another one.
You will have the ability to swap these to a different bike should you choose to do so.
Lunch and Trophy/Medal Presentation (Sunday) Lunch will be provided from 12:00pm.
Prizegiving will start at 1pm.
Memorial Trophies are awarded to the first placed WMCC member in F, E, & D grades (must be a current member as at 31/12/22). Medals will be awarded for the top three GC winners in each grade.
The Capital Cycles Cup will be awarded to the winner of the Sprint competition. In the event of a draw all names will go into a hat to be drawn at prizegiving.
Spot prizes will also be awarded compliments of the event sponsors.
NO CANCELLATION!! The event will be held regardless of the weather conditions, unless the organiser deems it dangerous to participants; in which case the race programme will be amended accordingly.
2020 saw the introduction of the Capital Cycles trophy. This is contested across ALL grades in each of the Road Race stages. There will be designated sprints and the first 5 across the line will get the points.
The trophy will be awarded to the person with the most points. In the event of a draw, hmm, we will probably come up with a really complicated algorithm that will determine the winner?!
