​​​​​​​Three stages over the 2 days (all races & order of events tbc):

Stage One is a short 8km Individual Time Trial Prologue. First rider away 9am.

Stage Two is a Graded Road Race in the afternoon (GRR) over 2 distances:

A, B, C grades 60km

D, E, F & Tandem grades 30km

Stage Three is a GRR in the morning over 2 distances

A, B, C grades 105k

D, E, F & Tandem grades 57km

Overall Tour Podium awards in each grade,  and a prize giving across all grades, plus lunch at the end of the tour.

Great spot prizes up for grabs compliments of our event sponsors.

Grades will be won on points, awarded as follows:
10, 8, 7, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2, 1

​​​​​​​​​​​​​​Stage One - Prologue TT, 9am

  • All grades.
  • 8km course on Longbush Rd
  • NO TT bikes, road bikes only
  • MAP

Stage Two, starts 1pm:

  • A,B,C grades 60km (2 laps)
  • D, E, F grades + tandems (1 lap)
  • Gladstone-Millars Rd 30km circuit
  • MAP

Race Briefings & Start Times:​​​​​​​

Stage 1:  ITT (individual time trial) 9am

  • A race brief will be handed out at registration plus briefed in the holding area at the start line.
  • All riders who enter online will receive a detailed email.

Stage 2:  Graded Road Race 1pm

  • A grade away first (approx 1pm) then 10 min intervals between each grade).
  • Pre Race Briefing 12.15pm at the venue for ALL grades.
  • A race brief will be available at registration.
  • All riders who enter online will receive a detailed email.
  • Pre-race briefings will be conducted at the Gladstone Sports Centre for ALL grades, prior to  the start of each road stage

​​​​​​​Stage 3:  Graded Road Race 9am

  • Pre Race Briefing 8:30am at the venue f or ALL grades.
  • First grade (A grade) away at 9am (then 10 min intervals between each grade)
  • A race brief will be available at registration .
  • All riders who enter online will receive a detailed email.
  • Pre-race briefings will be conducted at the Gladstone Sports Centre for ALL grades, prior to  the start of each road stage​​​​​​​

ENTRY FEES (until 13th March)

  • WMCC member Solo - $45
  • WMCC member Tandem -  $45 per rider
  • Non WMCC Solo - $95

Masters age grade cyclists only (age 30+ as at 31/12/2024). Non-members welcome.


Late Entries

  • Online Only as available - until 8:30am SATURDAY 16th.
  • Some grades may fill up early so if you're wanting to race - get in quick!​​​​​​​​​​​​​​


    Race Registration (Saturday)

    • Opens 8.00am on Saturday 16th March at the venue, for riders to collect their race pack.
    • Competitors must sign on at registration before moving to the Prologue TT start line.
    • There will be someone at the venue all day.

    Timing Chip

    • All competitors will be provided with one timing tag & race number to be used throughout the tour.  In the event of a chip failure we can swap it for another one.
    • You will have the ability to swap these to a different bike should you choose to do so.​​​​​​​

    Lunch & Presentations (Sunday)

    • Lunch will be provided from 12:00pm.
    • Prizegiving will start at around 12.30-12.45pm.
    • Medals will be awarded for the top three GC winners in each grade.​​​​​​​
    • Spot prizes will also be awarded compliments of the event sponsors.

    • Memorial Trophies are awarded to the first WMCC member as following:
    1. Wayne Sowerby Cup -  F grade
    2. Doug Mabey Memorial Cup - E grade
    3. Mike van Ansem Trophy - D grade
      (must be a current member as at 31/12/23).
